McNair Held Sunday P. M. Funeral services for Dr. Dan P. McNair age 52 prominent Ozark dentist who died suddenly Friday Afternoon were Held Sunday afternoon.The hundreds of grief stricken friends and loved ones who crowded the family residence and front lawn attested the love and esteem in which this popular young man was held. DR. McNair's death was a shock to his legion of friends throughout the state. One of Alabama's most successful dentists, he was prominent in the activities of the Alabama Dental Association and in American Legion affairs. Following his graduation from Vanderbilt he began the practice of his profession with hiss father, the late Dr. John R. MeNair. He volunteered his services to his country during World War I. and following Armistice returned to Ozark to resume his practice. Dr. McNair was an ardent booster for 0zark and Dale County and took an active part in every movement for its advancement and in death this section has lost one of itsmost useful citizens. His genial nature and generous disposition made friends easily who grieve his passing. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Margaret, Eason McNair, one daughter Margaret, two sons, Dan P. Jr., John A. McNair, one brother, H. Glenn McNair, Atlanta,Ga., and two sisters, Mrs. M. W. Redd. of Ozark, and Mrs. A S. Borders, Jr. of Clayton. Interment was in the city Cemetery, officiating were Rev. J. L. Daniels. Rev. J. B. Johnson and Rev. Robt. H. Walkup, Holman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Active pall hearers were. Capt. Waldo E. Ard. M. J. Garner. Sam Y. Carroll. H. L., Holman. Jr., Sessions S. Domlney. VV C. Brown, Jesse B. Adams. J. L., Barnes. Honorary pall bearers were veterans of World War I.
