   DEATH OF JOHN E. MIXON
  After an extended illness of many months the death of John E. Mixon, of 
Farmers Academy, occurred on last Friday night.
  Mr. Mixon was about seventy years of age, and for a long number of years had 
been a devout member of the, New Tabernacle Methodist Church. He is survived by 
his wife and several children. Interment was made on Saturday at Old Tabernacle 
Church graveyard.
