In Memoriam

Resolutions of Daleville Lodge, No. 144 A.F.&A.M. on the death of Brother R.R.
Harrel

Whereas in the providence of Almighty God, our worthy and well beloved brother,
and Worshipful Past Master, Robert L. Harrel, “passed from labor to refreshment
above” on the 9th day of Nov. A.L. 1884.  

And whereas, it is fit, proper and becoming on such occasion to humble ourselves
in the presence of God our Father, rendering submission and homage to His will,
and a recorded tribute of respect to our departing brethren, as they “pass over
the river to rest under the shade of the trees: therefore Resolved that in the
death of Brother Harrel, our Lodge has lost a worthy devoted and exemplary
member, our community a good citizen, and his family a beloved kind and
indulgent head.

Resolved 2nd, That we tender our sympathy and condolence to his bereaved family
and commend them to “Him who tempers the wind to the shorn lamb,” and renders
comfort and compassion to all who call on Him.

Resolved 3rd, That a page of our minutes be left blank, and dedicated to his
memory, and that a copy of these resolutions be presented to his family, and
another copy to Brother Jos. A. Adams with a request that they be published in
the Southern Star.

differently twice in this obituary.  I'm not a researcher of this family and
don't know the correct middle initial for this person.
