Wednesday, May 16, 1888 Page Three Miss Sarah E. Peacock On the 31st of Dec. 1887 this estimable sister passed to her eternal reward. She was the daughter of brother S. and sister V. Peacock. She was born near Skipperville, Ala., April 14, 1866 where she died. She joined the Baptist Church at Summer Hill, Sept. 1883 and lived a devoted Christian until her death. In school she was obedient to her teacher and kind to her classmates. She was a loving daughter and an affectionate sister. She was a great sufferer the greater part of her life. She bore her afflictions with as much as Christian fortitude as it seems possible for human to do. She would often talk of her afflictions and say she thought it best for her and the family if it was the will of her heavenly Father to take her home. She loved the cause of Christ; read the bible and practiced its teachings. We say to the bereaved, weep not; for in her death she was relieved of her suffering to be welcomed to the paradistacal plain of heaven, there to enjoy all that heaven means. We recommend that this be spread upon the church record, and a copy furnished the Southern Star and Alabama Baptist with a request to publish. Levi Wilkinson J.B.
