Local Intelligence

Mr. John Schoeffer, an aged citizen of this place, died on the morning of
December 4th inst., of old age and physical exertion.  Mr. Schoeffer was of
German origin, was born in Virginia, and was about eighty-three years old, at
the time of his death.  He was a hardworking industrious man; but now the hands
that did so much labor are folded peaceably over his bosom while he rests calmly
in death.
