  Wilson Slay, left, Red Cross swimming instructor, shows a group of Ariton 
youngsters the beginning strokes in their 10-lesson, course at Beck's Mill 
sponsored by the Dale County chapter. American Red Cross, in cooperation with 
the city of Ariton. The swimming classes, attended by 40 beginners and 
intermediates terminates Wednesday with an all-day picnic. Shown with 
Instructor Slay are left to right, Stanley Batchelor, Lynn Watson, Larry 
Watson, Ray Berry, and Sara Adkinson.
