Thomas Lisenby 1944 - 1948 Archie Thomas Lisenby, son of Joshua and Betsy Lisenby, was born September 3, 1884, near Echo. He attended Bethel School and was in farming and the sawmill business in Dale County. He was a city councilman for a number of years and served as a county commissioner from 1934 to 1942. A member of the First United Methodist Church of Ozark, he had served on the church's Official Board. He was also a member of Masonic Lodge No. 349 in Ozark. On November 4, 1906, he married Martha Lily Snell, daughter of Monroe and Emma Snell of Asbury. They had four sons,George Wesley, Luther William, Howard, and Ted Joshua, and three daughters, Thelma, Dorothy, and Wilma.
