Most of the charter members were settlers from the Carolinas who brought their church letters with them. The Carroll Cemetery is still located at the old site. The church is a member of the Choctawhatchee Assco. The wood frame church structure has unique features separate exterior doors for the use of the two sexes. The 15-foot ceiling, which combined with its all wood interior provides excellent acoustics for the singing of the Sacred - Harp music which has been such a vital part of the structure's past. The Church had 21 Pastors, With Mr. Freddy Averett serving 1985 until the Church gave the Church over to the Scared -Harp Singing Group/ Assoc. ca 2002/2004, they now maintain the Church and grounds. Membership had gotten down to 4, one of those was in a nursing home. Elder Samuel Warren Etheredge servered as Pastor from 1929-1985, he was born July 20,1895 - died Feb. 11, 1985.
