Among the unusual schemes tor raising funds with which to build Ariton's new clinic was the Auctioning of "the privilege of having a picture made scooping up the first shovelful of dirt" for digging the building's foundation. In the above picture D. B, Richardson, a member of the Finance Committee, who paid $100 for this privilege, is shown breaking ground. Watching him are other enthusiastic members of the Ariton Improvement Foundation. Reading from left to right, they are- H J Bowden, E. L. Fralish, J. L. Weed, D. K.
