It is in a pasture, so you will need to stop at the service station in Plantersville and ask directions. In Memory of Rebecca McBride Oden, wife of Joshua B. Oden and daughter of Wm. H. & Jane Peeples, born April 29th , 1829 died August 29th , 1858 aged 29 years and 4 months. She was of a meek and amable disposition and universally beloved by all who knew her. Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God. Matthew V 8 Sacred to the memory of Wm. H. Peeples March 17, 1790 died Dece.20, 1854 aged 64 years 9 months and 3 days. Sacred to the memory of Jane Peeples born July 30th, 1794 died Dec. 13th 1852 aged 58 years 4 months and 14 days. Ann Eliza infant daughter of Robert and Mary A. Peeples died Jan 20 1854 The parentsare in our Savior’s promise. This humble tribute of her parents love and---- marks the spot where now she lies. Our darling gives to all who hither romes to seek in death a home beyond the skies. (some words couldn’t be read) (At the time these people were in Plantersville it was in Perry Co. Ala. This Wm. H. Peeples was a large land owner. A lot of out black families in this area carry this name today. This family can be found in the Perry county census.)
