Funeral services will be held at the breslin Service Chapel Sunday afternoon at three o'clock. The Rev. Sam Hudgens, pastor of the Alabama Avenue Methodist Church will officiate. Mr. Hughes was born in Perry County and was amember of the Baptist church. He was a blacksmith. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Geneva Rosa "Jenny" Dunkin Hughes, one daughter, Mrs. George Houston Ham ( Mary Ada Hughes), one son, Zackery Sewell "Jack" Hughes, Selma, and two brothers, William W. Hughes of Selma, and Ben C. Hughes of Dothan. He was preceded in death by a son, Charles S. Hughes. Pallbearers will be six grandsons: Raymond H. Ham, John Hughes Ham, Thomas Hughes, Charles Eugene Hughes, L. J. Perry, and Tommy Herrod. My notes: George Thomas Hughes was the son of Casper "Smith" Hughes and Mary C.
