Hornbuckle You are hereby notified to furnish at once two (2) able-bodied hands, for work upon the fortifications and defenses in and around the city of Selma; each hand to have a spade or a shovel. They will be paid for by the Government , be provided with tents and good food, and be properly cared for. This requisition is made in order to equalise contributions as far as possible and any neglect to respond when neccessary. By order of Major N. R. Chambliss, Commanding Post of Selma. Jos. R.
