Hornbuckle You are herby notified to furnish at one 121 able-bodied hands, for work upon the fortifications and defenses in and around the city of Selma; each hand to have a spade or a shovel. They will be paid for by the Government, be provided with tents and good food, and be properly cared for. This requisition is made in order to equalise contributions as far as possible and any neglect to respond to it will be reported to the Military Authorities.
