  WILL OF JOHN RAMSEY Dallas County Alabama 
In the Name of God Amen I John Ramsey Infirm of boby but of Sound and
Disposing Mind of the State of Alabama County of Dallas make and publish
this my Last Will and Testament, hereby making and making Void all former
Wills by me at any time heretofore made.
First I direct that my body be Decently Buried in a Christian Like manner.
I will and Direct that my wIfe Margaret Ramsey after settling all my just 
debts Have and Hold  all of my property both Personal and Real during her
natural life and at her death that all of my said affects be Equally divided
amongst my children, that is Alexander R. Ramsey, and Cinthy C Burkistaff, 
and Margarett Hindrifft and Benjamin B Ramsey and Harriet Ramsey and John
R. Ramsey  and Joseph R Ramsey and William A.D. Ramsey and I hereby direct 
that my sons John R Ramsey and Joseph R Ramsey be my executors of this my
Last WIll and Testament, and that they assist my wife in all of her 
transactions
through life and further I will note   July 24th 1842 John Ramsey
Witnesses Samuel Rayes his mark, E C Jennings and J V Truman Walker

The State of Alabama, Dallas County, Personally appeared in Open Court 
E C Jennings, One of the Subscribing WItnesses to the foregoing Will
who being first duly sworn departs and saith that he saw John Ramsey
the testator sign, seal, and Execute said will, was of sound mind and
Disposing Memory at the time of Executing the same; that he this deponant
Samuel Mays and P V Walker Signed the same as Witnesses in the manner of 
and at request of said Testator and in the Presnece of Each other on the \
day and year therein named   EC Jennings, Sworn and Subscribed before me
in Open court  this 21st Day of Decr 1842
