Henry DeKalb County, Alabama Deed Book O II, page 524 Filed January 27, 1883 and Recorded January 30, 1883 On or before the day of November next I promise to pay A.G. Henry or order Thirty Seven and 76/100 Dollars foe value received and as a part of the consideration hereof I hereby waive all and every right which I may have under the constitution and laws of Alabama to have any personal property which I now own or may hereafter own exempt from levies and sale under legal process it being the true intent and meaning of this waiver of exemption to subject the personal property I now own or may hereafter own to the payment in full of the principal and interest of this note and as an additional security for the payment of this note I Joseph Carr also bargain sell and convey to A.G. Henry or his assigns the following described property to wit: one set of blacksmith tools including anvil billows screw plate and also my entire crops of cotton corn and all other produce I may raise or cause to be raised or accrue to me for rent on my own land or any other land in DeKalb and also in Marshall County, Alabama during the year 1883 and if this note is not paid at maturity I Joseph Carr hereby authorize and empower A.G. Henry or his agent to take possession of said property and crops and sell the same for cash at public sale after giving ten days notice of time place and terms of sale and apply the proceeds of said sale to the payment of this note and all expenses incurred in enforcing payment thereof the surplus if any pay to me.
