Deed from W.B Rucks to W.T. Elrod
DeKalb County, Alabama Deed Book N, page 450
01 April 1881

Know all men by these presents that in consideration of the sum of ($16.50) 
Sixteen Dollars and fifty cents to us in hand paid by W.T. Elrod. The receipt 
whereof is hereby acknowledged we do grant bargain sell and convey unto the 
said Elrod his heirs and assigns the following described real estate To wit: 
Thirty rod square of NW corner of NW ¼ of SE ¼ of Section 6, Township 8, and 
Range 7, in the Coosa Land District
To have and to hold unto the said Elrod his heirs and assigns forever with all 
the rights privileges and authority thereunto belonging and we furthermore 
agree to protect the said Elrod his heirs and assigns in the holding and 
maintaining the above described real estate in witness whereof we hereunto set 
our hands and affix our seals on this the date above written.

The State of Alabama, DeKalb County 
I, P.B. Gilbert, an acting Justice of the Peace in and by the County aforesaid 
hereby certify that W.B. Rucks and L.W. Rucks whose names are signed to the 
foregoing conveyance and who are known to me acknowledged before me on this 
day that being informed of the contents of the conveyance they executed the 
same voluntarily on the day the same being given under my hand and seal.
