Kirby, March 11, 1925, and removed one of our most ancient landmarks claiming for its victim our aged and beloved brother, Wm. L. Bookout. We most humbly and devotedly bow in submission to the will of Him who doeth all things well. Bro. Bookout was born July 26, 1846. He professed faith in Christ and united with the Baptist church when young. Some few years afterwards was ordained a minister in which calling he labored faithfully until death. Bro. Bookout has been a member in Mt. Pisgah church for over thirty-five years, always a faithful and dutiful member. He was a safe counsellor. He is missed by the church and all who knew him. At the end of a well spent life of 78 years and 8 months, he left the walks of man, leaving the evidence of a hope that he has gone on to meet his many loved ones, that have gone on. His remains were laid to rest in Pea Ridge cemetary, March 12, 1925, in the presence of many sorrowing relatives and friends. Rufus B. and Annie Kirby
