ELIZA WALKER Mrs. Eliza Clifton Walker, age 75, passed away at her home near Adamsburg Friday morning at 7:00 o’clock, after a long illness. She was born in Georgia, but had lived most of her life in DeKalb County, having lived in the Adamsburg community for more than fifty years. She was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, William B. Walker, Rt. 4, Fort Payne; two daughters, Mrs. Purl Fowler, Fort Payne, and Mrs. Mary Burgess, Rt. 4, Fort Payne; one son, Dan Walker, Rt. 4, Fort Payne; two sisters, Mrs. Lillie Poe, Rome, Ga., and Mrs. Mag Colbert, Rt. 2, Fort Payne; one brother, L. C. Lindsey, Atlanta; three half-brothers, four half-sisters, twenty grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Liberty Hill Church with the Rev. Jim Robinson, the Rev. Robert Hurt, the Rev. Isom Greenwood officiating. Pallbearers were Ira Turner, Jesse Henderson, Jr. Oscar Hollman, Loyd Walker, Therman Burgess and Eugene Kelley. Burial was in Adamsburg cemetery with Wilson Funeral Home in charge.
