Flood (1869-1960) on February 19,1885 in Etowah County, Alabama. James was the youngest son of Hartwell Luster Richards (1823-1863) and Sarah Ann Springfield (1821-1901). James and his family moved to DeKalb county from Cherokee County before 1910. Their children were: Maude L. (1886-1974), Addie (1887-), Annie Pearl (1888- 1978), Hollie C.(1891-), Thomas Luster (1893-1966), Albert P. (1895-1980), Bertha M.(1897-), Marvin (1899-), and Stewart (1903-1919). James and Mary are buried in Fairview Methodist Church Cemetery.
