The doctor treated James L. Richards for his condition from October 16, 1951 
until his death and last saw the patient alive on November 30, 1951. There was 
no autopsy performed. James had never served in the armed forces.

Additional Comments:
The names of James L. Richards father and mother were not known by the 
informant, James's son, Luster Richards. After researching the family I have 
found that his father was Hartwell Luster Richards, who died during the Civil 
War in Chattanooga, and his mother was Sarah A. Springfield Richards. She died 
in 1901 and is buried in Clayton Cemetery in Alabama City. Both of his parents 
were born in South Carolina and lived in the Greenville area before coming to 
Alabama.
