Andrew Jackson. ‘This is our Black History Month event,’ said Elishia Johnson, a spokeswoman for the Talisi Historical Preservation Society. The event will be at 3 p.m. at Rosehill Cemetery of North Ann Avenue near Barnett Boulevard. Parker is buried in Rosehill Cemetery in Tallassee, Johnson said. Parker, who died in 1871 at age 85, was Jackson’s body servant when the two were in what is now Elmore County during the War of 1812, Johnson said."
