Hugh Bailey was born May 18, 1854, near Equality, Coosa County, Alabama. He has made his home here for a while with his daughter, Mrs. William D. Nolen, however he had been living with his son Mr. Clyde Bailey in Montgomery. Mr. Bailey died Sunday Nov. 8, 1936. The funeral services were held Tuesday morning Nov. 10, 1936 at 10 O'clock at the East Tallassee Methodist Church with the Rev. J.M. Glenn Officiating. Herren and Mann in charge, Burial was in the Rose Hills Cemetery. Surviving are four daughters Mrs. W.D. Nolen, Tallassee; Mrs. A. Maxwell, Valley Head; Mrs. John T. Nolen, Birmingham; Mrs. Marie Dailey, Montgomery and one son, Mr. Clyde Bailey, Montgomery.
