The Times Democrat Oct 1, 1891

News reached our city late last Thursdday from Beat 1 that D. H. McInish was 

dead. Typhoid fever was the cause. We knew Mr. McInish personally. He possessed 

the qualities to make him the good citizen that he was. His name stands 

foremost on lists of truthful, honest and courageous men of this county.
