Cutts ================================================================================= September 1998 Crook Cemetery Contributed by Lygia Dawkins Cutts Crook Cemetery is an abandoned cemetery, which I believe is totally gone now, since the expansion of the D.W. McMillan Hospital. It was located in Sec. 20, Township 2 North, Range 10 East, within the city limits of Brewton. This would put it south of the watertank which is adjacent to the McMillan Hospital. It was used in the 1870 -1890 period and contains two unmarked and now obliterated graves of small children. They were: CROOK, Samuel, son of Mr. & Mrs. W.A. Crook, Sr. BRADLEY, -----------, grandson of the above Mrs. Crook This info comes from a vertical file in the Escambia County Historical Society Archives located in the AL Room of the JDCC Library, Brewton, AL. It was contributed to the Society by the late Mrs. Annie C. Waters, recorded February 1973 and shared with me by Mr. Ed Seward, President of the Escambia County Historical Society.
