Cutts ================================================================================= July 1998 Wright - Massengill Cemetery This is an abandoned cemetery located in Sec. 10, Township 2 North, Range 10 East, about 4 1/2 miles Northeast of Brewton near the Kirkland Road . Due East of the A.B. Crook place on land owned by Earl Moran. It contains a number of unmarked and obiterated graves of the Massengill family, including Mr. & Mrs. Wright Massengill. It was used in the late 1800's and is now part of a cattle pasture. This info comes from a vertical file in the Escambia County Historical Society Archives located in the AL Room of the JDCC Library, Brewton, AL. It was contributed to the Society by the late Mrs. Annie C. Waters, recorded February 1973 and shared with me by Mr. Ed Seward, President of the Escambia County Historical Society.
