The Atmore Advance Dated March 7, 1946. JOHN S. DAVIS John Stephen Davis, 79, died Tuesday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Annie McMurphy, in Canoe. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 11 a.m. from the Robinsonville church, Barton Service directing, and burial was in Robinsonville cemetery. Survivors, in addition to Mrs. McMurphy, include seven daughters, Mrs. J.D. Ruthledge and Mrs. Charles Ziermon of Memphis, Tenn, Mrs. G.H. Hall, Mrs. W.H. Chevalier and Mrs. G.B. Simmons, all of Mobile, Mrs. J.M. Bartlett of Port Arthur, Texas, and Mrs. C.S. Irwin of Birmingham; two brothers, A.J. Davis of Birmingham and J.B. Davis of Selma.
