The Atmore Advance Dated July 11, 1940. FUNERAL SERVICES HELD FOR LEON T. DAVIS Funeral rites for Leon T. Davis were held from the home Monday, June 24, at 3:30 o'clock, with Rev. Thornburg officiating. Pallbearers were B.B. Gates, Mack Graham, Everett Fountain, R.L. Lowery, Eugene Lowery and B. Myrick. Interment was in the Canoe cemetery with Fleming Mortuary in charge of arrangements. Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Sudie Davis; six daughters, Misses Mabel, Hazel, Grace, Ruby Ceal, Uleon and Rachael, all at home. Those from out of town attending were J.B. Davis, A.O. Davis, Mr. and Mrs. William Wilson, all of Selma, Ala.; Mrs. George Davis, of Frisco City; Mr. and Mrs. B.B. Brooks, Mrs. R. C. Fortner, Birmingham; E.J. McKinzie, D.J. McKinzie, Evergreen; Mrs. Morris Watson of Brewton.
