Published Thursday, August 28, 1969 in The Boaz Leader
Funeral services for Homer J. Wright, 59, of Boaz Route 1, who died on Friday 
night at the residence were held on Sunday at the Happy Hill Baptist Church.
Burial followed in the adjoining cemetery with Carr Funeral Home in charge of 
arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Grace Wright; sons, Eugene Wright, Glencoe, 
Frank and Jacob Wright, Washington, D. C. and Reginald Wright of Japan; 
daughters, Mrs. Faye Smith, Mrs. Eunice Shaneyfelt, Gadsden Mrs. Mary Lois Mayo 
and Mrs. Ruth Mayo, Marietta, Georgia, Misses Judy, Danta and Ramona Wright, 
Boaz; sisters, Mrs. Mary Sanford, Birmingham and Mrs. Prudie Bishop of Boaz; 
and 15 grandchildren.
A native of Gadsden, Mr. Wright was a stone mason.
