Sometime during the 1880's, a Church was erected nearby the site of the now present Church. In 1897 the old Church burned and in the same year another was constructed at the site of today's Young's Chapel Church. The land was given by James Young, Rebecca Young and G.M. Young. Additional land was given later by Mr. Jack Spraggins, J R Sims and J O Bennett. This land was used as a cemetery. Land for a parsonage was donated by Kaller and Sue Bomar. The first Church leaders were William Spraggins and William Vaughn. The first Stewards were Simon Henry Boozer and M M Morris while the first Church Secretary was W N Landers. Some of the early families that belonged to Young's Chapel include Boozer, Landers, Morris, Ford, Garmany, Sewell, Harcrow, Herring, Holmes, Griffith, Morgan, Spraggins, Ables, Patterson, Stallings, Johnson, Cannon, Baker, Diggs, Giles, Tillison, Gidley, Tynas, Shaw, Marbut, Shields plus many others. In 1965 a new brick Church was built and a fellowship hall with kitchen was constructed in the early 1970's. A parsonage was built in the late 1970's and a new annex addition to the Church building was completeed in 1997. Allen Payne (deceased) was Pastor during the construction of the brick Church in 1965. The Trustees were R Spraggins, E Estes and J M Bullock. D Heath was Church Leader and G M Gidley was Sunday School Superintendent. Some of the Pastors of the Young's Chapel Church have been Rev'ds Marbut (four with the same surname) Knight, Morris, Davis, Butler, Dillard, Upton, Payne, Guyton, Parker, Hooper, Ross, Smith and Gillmore.
