McGee Louis Allison, age 16 years shot and killed his brother, Sam Allison, 14 years of age, near their mother’s home at Gadsden, Ala., last Saturday afternoon just after returning from a bird hunt. Louis had Sam’s gun, which he thought had been unloaded and pointed it at the latter with a jocular remark when at the same instance the gun fired. When the smoke cleared away Louis was horrified to find his brother’s life ebbing away at his feet with a ghastly hole through his body. The two boys were the sons of Mrs. Leila Allison, a sister to Mrs. A.J. McGee of this place. Their father was for many years a prominent Methodist minister and a member of the Alabama conference. The sad message of the fearful tragedy was received in this city late Saturday evening and caused universal sorrow. Mr. A.J. McGee left Sunday morning for Gasden to be with his sister-in-law in her sad bereavement.
