Emma Powell Brewster
Published Thursday, January 16, 1969 in The Boaz Leader
Funeral services for Mrs. S. J. (Emma) Brewster. 83, of  Boaz Route 3, who died 
Friday in a local hospital were held on Sunday at Carlisle Baptist Church with 
burial in Thrasher's Cemetery with Carr Funeral Home directing.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Winford Irvin, Boaz and Mrs. C. H. 
Murchison, Columbus, Miss; four sons, Clyde and Barnard Brewster of Boaz, 
Harolde Brewster of Guntersville and Hoyt Brewster, Gadsden; a brother, J. H. 
Powell, Birmingham; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-
granddaughter.
