Death Claims L. T. Collins, Jr.

Luther Thomas Collins, Jr., 43, 213 Mountain Drive, died unexpectedly at 11 
a.m. yesterday in a local hospital.

A native of Marshall County, and a resident of Etowah County most of his live, 
Mr. Collins was real estate broker and builder, having owned and operated 
Collins Real Estate Company for 15 years. He was a member of Central Methodist 
Church.

Mr. Collins is survived by his wife, Mrs. Georgia Payne Collins; two sons, 
Roger Thomas Collins, Hunter Air Force Base, Savannah, Ga., and David Terry 
Collins, Gadsden; one daughter, Anita Iris Collins, Gadsden; his parents, Mr. 
and Mrs. Luther Thomas Collins, Sr., Gadsden; three brothers, Lonnie Collins, 
Gadsden, L. Carl Collins, Miami, Fla., and Donald L. Collins, Birmingham; four 
sisters, Mrs. E. L. Hurst, Jr., and Mrs. George H. Clark, both of Gadsden, and 
Mrs. Lorene Harwell and Mrs. James M. Wright, both of Atlanta, Ga.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow in Collier-Butler Chapel, 
with the Rev. W. C. Davis officiating.

Burial will be in Crestwood cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Dr. R. E. Mitchell, Dr. John S. Arthur, Herchell C. 
Palmer, Lonnie Campbell, Toney Allen and Walter Cooper.

Honorary pall bearers will be all personal friends.

The body will remain at Collier-Butler through the hour of service.
