Bogue Collins 
Published Thursday, August 3, 1967 in The Boaz Leader
Bogue Collins, 68, of Boaz Route 5, died last Thursday following a brief 
illness.  Services were held on Saturday at Carlisle Church of God, with the 
Revs. Jerome Brooks and J.P. Rowan officiating.
Burial followed in the Marshall Memory Gardens with Carr Funeral Home directing.
He is survived by the wife, Mrs. Addie Collins; six daughters, Mrs. Ardell 
Maroney, Mrs. Ruby Bright, Mrs. Estelle Owens, Mrs. Janie Epperson and Mrs. 
Edith Baker, all of Boaz and Mrs. Maggie Stephens, Albertville; five sons, 
Anison Collins, Gadsden, Joe and Horace Collins of Birmingham, Ralph Collins, 
Albertville, Buster and Gene Collins, Boaz; two sisters, Mrs. Annie Gale Moore, 
Attalla and Mrs. Margaret Broaden of Ripley, Tenn.; four brothers, Tom Collins, 
Gadsden, Wheeler and Wesley Collins, Attalla and Simp Collins of Boaz; 32 
grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Mr. Collins was a native of Etowah County and was retired.
