Gen Ira R. Foster died at Gadsden, Ala., Nov. 19.  He had reached the age of 
78, and leaves a wife and four children. Gen. Foster was well known here and 
esteemed by all.  He was a prominent Baptist and Mason, and it is said of him 
that a truer friend or better man in every respect never lived.
