Mr. Fox was fatally injured Friday afternoon when a car he was working on fell, crushing him beneath it. The Rev. George Gaskin, Herman Wilson, and Bro. Brooks officiated. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery with Brown Service Funeral Home of Boaz directing. Nephews acted as pallbearers. Survivors: Wife, Mrs. Geneva Fox; six sons, John Alton Fox, Rt. 6, Boaz, Sgt. Henry Fox of U. S. Army, overseas, Cpl. Wm. Fox, U. S. A. F., Savannah, Ga., James D. Fox, Ralph D. Fox, and George Ray Fox, Rt. 6, Boaz. Three daughters, Mrs. Mamie Jewel Byrd, of Rt. 6, Boaz, Miss Brenda Fox, Rt. 6, Boaz, Miss Peggy Jane Fox of Rt. 6, Boaz; six brothers, Joe Fox, Ben Fox, Rt. 3, Boaz; Monroe Fox, Rt. 6, Boaz, Coley Fox of Jasper, Ga., and Robert Fox of Jasper, Ga., John Fox, Rt. 6, Boaz; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Cantrell, Mrs. Ida Free, Mrs. Walter Childress, all of Jasper, Ga.; ten grandchildren.
