Funeral services were held at 2 p. m. Thursday at the Happy Hill Baptist Church with the Revs. Emory Pack, W. D. Parrish, Melvin Sherbet and Arthur Davis officiating. Burial was in Thrasher Cemetery with Gillespie-Barksdale directing. Surviving are her husband, Wiley C. Gravitt; five sons, B. C. Gravitt, Boaz Route 5, James Gravitt, Crossville Route 2, James Gravitt, Ft. Wayne, Ind., Fletcher Gravitt, Yuma, Arizona and Lincoln Gravitt, Opelika; four daughters, Mrs. F. H. Bowers, Boaz Route 1, Mrs. W. H. White, Boaz Route 3, Mrs. H. C. McMurtrey, Boaz Route 1 and Mrs. B. L. Haygood, Boaz Route 2; 33 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Lassie Tuck, Arizona and Mrs. Ollie Ghorley, Ga. She was a native of Ga., has lived on Sand Mountain for 46 years and a member of Happy Hill Baptis Church. Active pallbearers were J. B. Morton, Ernest Carroll, Louie Mizell, Boss Coe, Vernon Thrasher and Emory Hefner.
