Burial was in the adjoining cemetery with Carr Funeral Home directing. She is survived by her husband, Willie Hammett; sons, Uther Hammett, Boaz Route 6, L. B. Hammett, Boaz Route 3; mother, Mrs. Lula Thomas of Gadsden; sisters, Mrs. Nora Dover, Mrs. Maud Knight, Mrs. Irene Everheart, East Gadsden and Mrs. Bertie Helms, Gadsden; brothers, Dewey Marsh, Gadsden Route 8, Dee Thomas, Gadsden; three grandsons and two granddaughters. Mrs. Hammett was a native of Etowah County and was a Baptist.
