Carl L. Herring

Carl L. Herring, 56, Gadsden Route 5, died at 1:30 a.m. Saturday in a local 
hospital following a long illness.

Mr. Herring is survived by his wife, Mrs. Leta Langford Herring; two brothers, 
Harlin Herring, Gadsden, and Lewis Herring, Jackson, Miss., and one sister, 
Mrs. T. B. Sheets, Leeds.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. yesterday in Young’s Chapel Church, with 
the Revs. Ben L. Edmundson and Roy Akridge officiating.

Burial was in the adjoining cemetery, with Collier-Butler Funeral Home in 
charge of arrangements.
