Odell Lister and the Rev. Mr. Dyar officiating. Burial followed in the adjoining cemetery with Carr-Brown Service Mortuary directing. The pallbearers included Bill, J. W. and Clifford Green, Floyd Mayo, Amos Holliday and J. P. Bearden. He is survived by the widow, Mrs. Carrie Johnson Holliday; 4 sons, Dock, Houston and Joe Holliday, all of Altoona and Herman Holliday, Guntersville; two daughters, Mrs. Rosie Butler, Attalla and Mrs. Lillie Butler of Flint, Mich.; a sister, Mrs. Fannie Gilliland, Boaz; 33 grandchildren; and 11 great- grandchildren. Mr. Holliday was a native of Etowah County, a farmer and a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church.
