We learn he was seen lying with his head on the track just in front of the train but the distance was to short to stop the locomotive in time to save his life. He was struck on his forehead and on one side his head near the ear. When picked up the brains were oozing from the side of his head. Dr. J. B. Liddell attended the wounded man from the scene. He pronounced his injuries fatal. Hudson died Saturday night.
