Obituary from The Gadsden Times  Saturday, March 12, 1977

Rev. Johnston

The Rev. Fred Johnston, 62, Attalla Rt. 1, died Wednesday.  Funeral services 
will be at 2 p. m. today at Red Hill Methodist Church with the Revs. Orvil Ray 
and L. C. Guthrie officiating.  Burial in adjoining cemetery.  Survivors are 
his wife, Mrs. Grace Johnston; daughter, Mrs. Betty Duke, Albertville; sons, 
Jimmy Johnston, Florida; Frank Johnston, Boaz; William, James and Alton 
Johnston, Blountsville; Kirby and Earnest Johnston, both of Attalla; Robert 
Johnston, Gadsden; Danny Johnston, Chattanooga, Tenn.; 33 grandchildren; one 
great-grandchild; brother, Albert Johnston, Illinois; sisters, Mrs. Etta Dodd, 
Kentucky; Mrs. Angeline Goggan, Mrs. Dorsie Bell Moore, Mrs. Mollie Schulte, 
Mrs. Josephine Chaffin, and Mrs. Willie Pearl Allen, all of Talladega.  Carr 
Funeral Home of Boaz in charge of arrangements.
