Funeral services were to be held at Kyuka church at 1 o'clock Friday afternoon. Rev. J.M. Flood was to have charge of the services. The pallbearers were to be Cricket Locklear, Ed Lowe, P.H. King, Bill Garrison, Wade Tally and Jim Locklear. Surviving are the following children: T.E.Keel, H.G. Keel, Shreveport; Pat, Gadsden; Mrs. Ben Pitts, Mrs. Bessie Thompson and Mrs. Ed Forman. The deceased was the widow of the late Pat Keel, an old-time printer, who worked in Gadsden for many years and who died at Rome, Ga. in 1910. He was the owner and editor of the first newspaper ever published in Gadsden. It was started as the People's Voice and later became The Gadsden Evening Journal. He also owned and edited the Cherokee Populist. Additional Comments: The deceased was born Amy Ellen Gentry in Bartow County, Ga. She was the daughter of William Gentry and Rebecca Drusilla Carnes. She married Patrick Keel on Nov. 13, 1879 in Etowah County, Alabama.
