MYRTICE MCNAIR Mrs. Myrtice Leola McNair, 77, 1321 Alabama Street, died yesterday at 10:30 a.m., at her residence following a long illness. Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 4 p.m., at the Collier-Butler Chapel with the Rev. Herman W. Cobb and the Rev. Don Barfield officiating. Burial will be in Forrest Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Raymond Cushing, Shortie Killgore, Roy Keener, Harold Shamblin, Leon Jordan, Lanis Glenn, Marvin Marlow, Bill Smith and Corky Dobbs. Honorary pallbearers will be all personal friends. The body will be at the residence until the hour of service. A member of the East Gadsden Baptist Church, she was a native of Carrolton, Ga., and a resident of Gadsden most of her life. She was a member of Helen Rebekah Lodge No.30 and a past noble grand, the highest office in the lodge. She is survived by her husband, James Price McNair,Sr.; a son, James Price McNair, Jr., Memphis, Tenn.,; a daughter, Mrs. Inez McNair Daniel, Gadsden; 14 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
