Funeral services will be held at Crossville Baptist Church at a time to be announced, with the Revs. C. B. Campbell and Willis Kelley officiating. Burial will be in the Crossville Cemetery with Gillespie – Barksdale Funeral Home directing. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mattie Newman Norris; three daughters, Mrs. Newman Thacker, Gadsden, Mrs. L. G. Trussell, Crossville, and Mrs. Leonard Graham, Los Angeles, Calif.; four sons, Jesse T. Norris, U. S. Navy, Charleston, William Clifford Norris, Dallas Texas, Lester M. Norris, Crossville, and Irby Norris, Collinsville; two brothers, John H. Norris, New Mexico, Walter B. Norris, Geraldine; a sister, Mrs. Frank McBrayer, Crossville; 33 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. A native of Georgia, Mr. Norris came to DeKalb County at the age of two years.
