Obituary for Walter Oliver, Etowah, Alabama

Illness Claims Walter Oliver

Walter Oliver, 61 year old retired Attalla farmer died at his home Wednesday 
night after an extended illness.

Funeral services will be announced by Collier-Butler Funeral Home after 
arrival of his son, Thaddeus L. of Oakland, California. The body will remain 
at the Collier-Butler Chapel until 10 a.m. Friday.

Born in Etowah County, Oliver was a member of the Baptist Church and a World 
War I veteran who served overseas 14 months with the famed Rainbow Division.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ella Fleming Oliver;  one son, Thaddeus L.;  
one daughter, Mrs. Howard Baker, Attalla, Route 2;  one sister, Mrs. Bonnie 
Tullis, Attalla;  two brothers, Rile and Frank, both of Attalla;  and five 
grandchildren.
