Obituary from Gadsden Newspaper

Johnny S. Sims

Johnny S. Sims, eight-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie H. Sims, 504 Miller 
Street, died Monday at 9:15 p. m. in a local hospital following an illness of 
several months.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a. m. from the First Church of 
God on Van Courtland Street with the Revs. Robert Taylor, Edward G. Brown and 
Dan Collier officiating.

Burial will follow in Alabama City Cemetery with Collier - Butler Funeral Home 
directing.  

Active pallbearers will be Harold Elrod, Arnell Elrod, Ernest Staton, Wayne 
Moore, Billy Smith and Euel Lee Smith.

In addition to his parents, Johnny is survived by one sister, Margaret Annette 
Sims; three brothers, Arlen, Garry and LeVaughn Sims; and his grandparents, Mr. 
and Mrs. Henry Sims, Altoona and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas H. McRae, Alabama City.
