CHARLIE R. THOMAS

Charlie Raymond Thomas, 77, Welington, Route 1, died yesterday at 9:05 a.m., 
at his residence following a long illness.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m., at the Mt. Gilead Baptist 
Church in Calhoun County with the Rev. Roscoe Driver and the Rev. Chet Stevens 
officiating. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery with Collier-Butler Funeral 
Home directing.

Active pallbearers will be Douglass Clark, Julius Clark, Ted ropes, William 
Hill and Farris Hill.

The body will remain at the residence until the hour of service.

A retired farmer, Mr. Thomas was a member of the Mt. Gilead Baptist Church. He 
was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County. 

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lizzie Thomas; a daughter, Mrs. Thelma 
Phillips, East Gadsden, and four grandchildren
