Whisenant Boaz---Mrs. Gertie Mae Lambert Whisenant, 59, Route 1, Boaz, died at 11:08pm yesterday in a local hospital after a long illness. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Bethlehem Baptist Church with the Revs. E. D. Brown. Jesse Waide and Corbin Yother officiating. Burial will be in Duck Springs Cemetery with Gillespie-Barksdale directing. Surviving are her husband, Ulysses Whisenant: two sons, W.L. Whisenant, Gadsden, and W.D. Whisenant, Route 2, Attalla, six daughters, Mrs. Billy Reagan, Mrs. Harold Stanford, Attalla, Route 3, Mrs. Cleo Nelson, Attalla, Route 2, Mrs. Jack Dixon, Alabama City, Mrs. Norman Cagle, Collinsville, and Miss Ogalene Whisenant, Route 1, Boaz, two brothers, Oscar Lambert, Gadsden, and 11 grandchildren. Active pallbearers will be J.T. Lambert, D.C. Whisenant, Byron Ramsey, Edgar Barksdale, Jack Whisenant, and Mack Whisenant. Mrs. Whisenant was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.
