White Published November 13, 1952 in The Boaz Leader Evered H. White, 76, died Sunday at 8:35 a. m., at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Eva Hill on Snead Street in Boaz, after an illness of six weeks. Funeral services were held on Tuesday at 2 p. m. from the Butler Baptist Church, with Rev. Pat Tayor and Rev. Gurley Bartlett officiating. Burial was in adjoining cemetery with Gillespie-Barksdale directing. The active pallbearers were Burl Hefner, Fred Wright, Clayton Gravitt, Louie Mizell, Fletcher Gravitt and Millard Elkins. Survivors include four sons, William White, Rt. 3 Boaz, Linsey White, Albertville, L. Z. White, Fla., and Millard White of Boaz; two daughters, Mrs. Atha Collins, Gallant and Mrs. Iva Hill, Boaz; thirteen grandchildren; several half-brothers and half-sisters. Mr. White was a native of Georgia and moved to Alabama in 1911. He was a member of the Baptist Church. Nieces and grandchildren were in charge of the floral.
