The State of Alabama, Etowah County

To any Ordained or Licensed Minister of the Gospel, Judge of the Circuit or
Probate Courts, or Justice of the Peace for said county -- GREETINGS.

You are hereby authorized to celebrate the Rites of Matrimony between O.N.
WATSON and MISS UNA BLACKWELL, and this shall be your sufficient authority for
so doing.

Given under my hand and seal, this 6th day of January, A.D. 1896

The above parties were married by me at residence of the Bride's Mother on the
12th day of January, 1896

Additional Comments:
Una and Oscar had four daughters (Myrtle, Lois, Eschol, and Deira) before
divorcing about 1905. Oscar moved to Chattanooga, Tennessee where he was killed
in a fall in 1908. Una remarried to Julius D. Rooks and had several sons with
him. Special thanks to Sandra Roberts for her efforts in researching this document!
